Abstract | From the allergological point of view ragweed and mugwort pollen is the most important in August in Ljubljana. It started to appear at the end of July, but the peak daily average concentration was reached in August: mugwort on the 11th August with 68 grains/m3 (figure 5.2) and ragweed on the 22nd August with 95 grains/m3 (figure 5.3). Mugwort pollen peak counts from the last and this year were approximately equal and at the same time. Ragwed peak count was four times days earlier. The pollen of goosefoot and plantain was also present in the air in very small concentration, less than 10 grains/m3. Nettle pollen counts were high up to 186 pollen grains/m3 (figure 5.4). Average daily concentration of grass pollen is presented in figure 5.5. The highest counts of pollen in the mouth were reached in a period from 11th till the 15th August. Figure 5.6 represents the number of pollen grains in the air measured every two hours. | |
