Abstract		Arterial hypertension is very common reason for patients' visit in general practice. in our country the prevalence of arterial hypertension reaches 20%, in the older age even more (1, 14). The author is describing and recommending the active approach to this problem. The model had been developed through ten years practice in Ljubljana health Centre.
Summary		V ambulantah splošne in družinske medicine se z arterijsko hipertenzijo srečujemo zelo pogosto, saj je prevalenca te bolezni okrog 20%, v starosti pa še bistveno več (1, 14). V članku avtorica priporoča metode dela, ki so jo razvili v Zdravstvenem domu Ljubljana v desetih letih aktivnega "dispanzerskega" iskanja, zdralvjenja in vodenja zvišanega krvnega tlaka.
