Abstract		In this present study we tackle the matter of urine incontinence which is a very frequent and annoying trouble with women. It occurs, undoubtedly, more often in the advanced age, with it beginnings already in the earlier period of life when women are still very active in their social and professional life. We demonstrate twelve risk factors: age, work, weight, constitution, menstruation cycle, number of births, education, health culture, gynecological operations, complete and incomplete prolapse of vagina and uterus, climacteric and employment. The purpose of this paper is to determine, on the basis of the observation of a number of variables, the role of an individual variable in the occurence of the phenomenon of the urine incontinence, with special emphasis on weight, constitution and work. We demonstrate the health culture of women in connection with the urine incontinence and the troubles they have in their social and professional life. The women in the sample were chosen in the Clinical Centre in Ljubljana, at the University Clinic of Gynecology - the first group, and in the Health Centre in Ljubljana in the dispensaries for medical protection of women - the second group. The subject of the treatment were those women that suffer from objectively proven urine incontinence and those without this problem. The data are gathered from questionaries and from the medical documentation. The analysis was done by the test hi-square and by factor analysis. With the hi-square test we achieved some statistically signifcant results within the following variables: work, weight, constitution, climacteric and complete or incomplete prolapse of vagina and uterus. In the factor analisys in both groups three factors were formed and explained almost half of the variance. (Abstract truncated at 2000 characters).
