Abstract | Backgraund. Due to the complexity of relations between pharmacists and doctors, confronting interests are bound to arise. In order to overcome them, a good measure of professional behaviour is required from both parties. The areas of cooperation as well as of potential problems are: clinical research, continous postgraduate studies, medical information. Conclusions. Pharmaceutical industry accounts for 3% of Slovenia's gross domestic product and 5.6% of exports, therefore, it had to udjust its norms, sooner than medical services, to those used in Europe and the rest of the world. Good relations between two partners also depend on similar sets of values. In Slovenia there are neither normative not supervisory mechanisms to study the relations between pharmaceutical industry and doctors.

V Sloveniji farmacevtska industrija ustvari 3% bruto družbenega proizvoda in 5,6% izvoza.
