Abstract     Functional response of the ankle stimulated by surface peroneal electrostimulation was evaluated in order to help finding the optimal electrode position for the applicaton of peroneal implantable stimulator. The angles of ankle dorsiflexion and eversion during surface peroneal stimulation were determined by infrared video motion analysing system and by goniometer. The responses of muscles tibialis anterior, peroneus longus and triceps surae to single stimulating pulse were monitored. Recorded M-waves and angles will be the guidelines for positioning of electrodes during the srugical procedure.
