Abstract | Fully integrated single chip high sensitivity accelerometer sensor (g-sensor) without any external components can be a valuable device for a number of biomedical instruments. Such device micromachined according to the advanced high technology is presented in the paper. A low noise, low power and low distotion CMOS interface is presented that measure a very low capacitance of the integrated capacitive detector/sensor. Such an integrated system is suitable as implant with its basic function of a distance and movement detection and measurement. The basis of moving measurement is a detection of a voltage difference on a very small sensor/capacitor elemnt. Its absolute value vary for few aF. The integrated circuit incorporates voltage sensitive preamplifier stage, calibration circuit, synchronous rectifier and timing circuit. it is implemented in a 0.8 microm double poly n-well CMOS technology. | |
