Abstract		Management in health field in general, and in nursing care as well, is becoming a key task of health workers - managers. Nurse managers are becoming more and more involved in demanding processes and complex systems in the health field. In systems of nursing care, nurse managers plan, organize and control processes of nursing care in interaction with other systems; therefore, additional managerial knowledge and skills are required which should be accessible through formal forms of education. The analysis of education. The analysis of the research study on the required knowledge from management in the field of nursing care identified the knowledge from management and pointed to the existing problems of administration and leadership. University level of education from management in health field will be required as long-term orientation.
Summary		Menedžment v zdravstvu in v zdravstveni negi postaja v sodobnem času ključna naloga vodilnih zdravstvenih delavcev. Vodilne medicinske sestre so vedno bolj vključene v zahtevne procese in kompleksne sisteme zdravstva. V sistemih zdravstvene nege vodilne medicinske sestre načrtujejo, organizirajo in kontrolirajo procese zdravstvene nege v interakciji z ostalimi sistemi, zato so nujno potrebna dodatna menedžerska znanja in veščine, ki jih morajo pridobiti v formalni obliki izobraževanja. Analiza raziskave o potrebnih znanjih iz menedžmenta na področju zdravstvene nege je nakazala, katera znanja menedžment potrebuje in kateri so problemi pri dosedanjem upravljanju in vodenju. Za poenotenje znanja iz menedžmenta v zdravstveni negi in kot dolgoročno usmeritev bo potrebno organizirati fakultetni študij menedžmenta v zdravstvu.
