Abstract     Authors present a case of a 15 years old girl with acute massive rectal haemorrhage after appendectomy. The scintigraphy with Tc labeled red blood cells was the only procedure, which proved that the origin of rectal bleeding was in the terminal part of the small bowel. The resection of the affected part of the small intestine was performed. At the histologic examination, an extensive ulceration of the small intestinal mucosa was found, and also elements typical of the Crohn's disease were present in the small bowel wall.
