Abstract		Background. Reptured splenic artery aneurysm during pregnancy or post partum is a rare event with catastrophic consequences. Normal physiologic changes of pregnancy may mask early sumptoms and rupture is diagnosed after emergency laparotomy. Methods. The purpose of our article is to present a patient with ruptured splenic artery aneurysm post partum and highlight the difficulties of diagnostics. Conclusions. In any pregnant or post partum patient with the sudden onset of severe left upperabdominal pain a diagnosis of ruptured splenic artery aneurysm should be considered, specially when anemia is present. Early diagnosis and operation increases the likelihood of survival.
Summary		Izhodišča. Razpok anevrizme vranične arterije v nosečnosti ali po porodu je redek pojav, vendar se pogosto konča s katastrofalnimi posledicami. Ker fiziološke spremembe prikrijejo klinično sliko, je diagnoza postavljena navadno šele ob laparotomiji. Metode. Namen prispevka je prikaz bolnice z razpokom anevrizme vranične arterije po porodu in poudariti težavno diagnostiko. Zaključki. Na diagnozo razpoka anevrizme vranične arterije moramo pomisliti pri vsaki nosečnici ali materi po porodu ob pojavu bolečin pod levim rebrnim lokom, še posebno ob prisotnosti anemije. Zgodnja diagnoza in operativni poseg lahko povečata možnost preživetja.
