Abstract     The widespread of the problems, connected with the injuries and accidents at work, is reflecting in relation and in the level of the society toward the worker. Injuries are very important health indicator of active population at home and abroad. It is not possible to entirely avoid the accidents andtheir consequences. Some new tehnological processes have been introduced and they claim less injuries at work, but we find out that those injuries can be more serious. The injury at work is each injury of insured person that occurs at work, on the way to work or onthe wa from work or at the official journey. And it demants at least one day of unability for work or death of the injuried person. Studied data are taken from data collection "Injuries at work", that are collected at the Institute for health protecion. The analysis includes all registered injuries at work, that happened to empoyers over 15 years, from 1.1.1990 to 31.12.1992. They are treated with statistic packet SPSS in the operatioanl system Unix. In Slovenia for a few last years a number of injuries has been indiminuation. But the percent of serius injuries remains the same. Injuries are most common with younger workers. Among the injuried persons there are men who predominate. Most injuries of men occur at work place, while the injuries of women mostly take place on the way to or from work. At work place injuries of arms, hands, legs and eyes are the first palce. The injuries of men are frequent in metalurgy and mechanical industry, while the injuryes of women mostly occur in textile industry. The greatest number of fatal accidents of men happened at work palce and fatal accidents of women on the way to work. Fatal accidents of men occur mostly in construction industy, that of women in textile industy, in secondary industry of unmetalminerals, in trade and in tourist trade.
