Abstract		Background. Francture of the child's calcaneus is rare injury. Diagnosis of calcaneal fracture in children is more difficult than in adults. Most of fractures in childhood are treated conservatively, and calcaneal fracture is not an exception. Conclusions. In this paper rare indications for operative treatment of facture of the child's calcaneus are discussed. Among them, the most important is involvement of the subtalar joint, which can be accurately assessed by complete X-rays diagnostics (lateral and axial as well as Broden's views) and/or computed tomograph.
Summary		Izhodišča. Zlom otroške petnice je izjemno redka poškodba. Diagnostika zlomov petnice je pri otrocih težja kot pri odraslih. Kot večino drugih otroških zlomov tudi zlome otroške petnice praviloma zdravimo konzervativno. Zaključki. V prispevku avtor opozarja na redke indikacije za operativno zdravljenje oteoških zlomov petnice, med katerimi je najpomembnejša prizadetost subtalarnega sklepa. le-to lahko ocenimo le z razširjeno rentgensko diagnostiko, ki poleg stranske in aksialne slike vključuje tudi Brodenove projekcije subtalarnega sklepa in/ali računalniško tomografijo.
