Abstract     During the period 1985 do 1995, the results of the analyses on food of animal origin in Slovenia were collected and processed with regard to total As content. Risk assessment of our foods revealed that only 17 samples did not meet our regulations on food safety which is approximately 1% of all samples. Higher As content was found insamples of marine fishes and other marine organisms. The highest As content was found in the sample of a cephalopod: 8.63 mg/kg in 1985. In the majority of other samples As content was low, less than 0.05 mg/kg.
Summary     Zbrali in obdelali smo rezulate analiz živil živalskega izvora v Sloveniji glede vsebnosti celotnega As, narejenih v obdobju od leta 1985 do 1995.
