Abstract		Protection and security of health of labour force (man power) comprehends the problems of injuries and professional diseases. The number of injuries is decreasing and it is relatively lower than in western Europe. Professional diseases are different and asking for carefull research with the intention of improovement the health prevention and working environment. The percentage of professional diseases caused by hazardous substances increased from 35% in 1985 to 69% in 1991; two fifths of them as the after-effect of carcinogenic substances. Data of mutagenic effects are not available. For this reason were introduced new activities to be improoved monitoring of enviroment, technical and protectional measures as well as the medical care. It is necessary to improve the selfcare of workers too. The authoress recomended the improovement of legislation, education and insurance.
