Abstract     For the treatment of Herpes simplex virus keratitis we have used the method with "fibrin micro abrasio" with autologous blood in addition to the usual modern therapy with Acyclovir and others. Autologous blood was applied locally on the eye, once daily, during 3 days or more. The pathologically changed coneal epithelial cells, infected with HS virus and containing numerous virus particles, are badly adhered to the basis. With the help of the fibrin threads, we try to remove the infected cells as thoroughly as possible. The fibrin threads namely intertwine and fasten or bind themselves onto the microvilli of the epithelial cells. In addition to fibrin, also fibronectin, leucocytes and macrophages with their lysosom enzymes are important during "fibrin micro abrasio" with Autologous Blood.
