Abstract     Secondary glaucoma is a condition which frequently seriously complicates the course of the primary eye disease. Treatment is therefore always directed at elimination of the primary disease. Surgical treatment is indicated in patients with a long-standing history of elevated intraocular pressure in whon all the possibilities of medical therapy of the primary disease and secondary glaucome have been exhausted. The operative technique employed depends on the etiology and pathogenesis of the primary disease. The author presents some operative interventions usede in the most common forms of secondary glaucoma, such as iridocyclitis hypertensiva, phakolytic, neovascular andmalignant glaucoma.
