Abstract     The significance of the fine specificities of autoantibodies concerning the antigen epitodes. As a model, two families of autoantibodies are shown with the corresponding antigen systems, which differs from each other: Ro ribonucleoprotein particles represent intracellular protein antigens, phospholipids represent antigens on the cell surface (membrane). Informations on the fine antigen specificity of autoantibodies can be logically in the differential diagnosis and prognosis of different autoimmune diseases.
