Abstract		The aim of this research was to prove the differences between positive and negative type of schizophrenia that have already been documented. We also tried to find out those Catego syndroms that might be expected to be specific for some forms of electrodermal activity. 57 schizophrenic inpatients and a control group of 16 healthy subjects were included in this research. Results of this research do not support greater electrodermal stability of patients with predominantly negative symptoms comparing patients with predominantly positive symptoms. An exception was observed when using one of the visual signals. Some differences were found between responders and non-responders when Catego syndroms were compared.
