Abstract     The first two pollens that are found in spring in the air are hazel (Corylus) and alder (Alnus). This year they started to appear in the middle of the January: hazel pollen on January 13th and alder pollen the day latter. Corylus pollen reached maximum concentration on February 14th and alder pollen on February 17th. The amount of airborne pollen extremely varied from year to year. Pollens of poplar (Populus), willow (Salix), elm (Ulmus) and yew (Taxus) were also present in the air in February.
