Abstract     Alcohol level tests are presented as routine forensic tests for which all the principles of good laboratory practice must be upheld. A brief overview is given of the development of guidelines and norms for forensic alcohol level analysis. The taking of blood and urine samples within forensic medicine is the work of the doctor. Special emphasis is therefore placed on taking and transporting the samples. With the goal of reducing the number of erros and increasing the quality of alcohol level tests, on the basis of cases the significance is shown of the taking of samples of two bodily fluids, the danger of contamination of samples due to the presence of disinfectants, the possible influences of infusion fluids and microbiological processes durig the time the samples are transported.
