Abstract     Pathohistological diagnosis formulated in a standardised, qualitatively and quantitatively determined protocol contributes to comparing and convincing the discovered characteristics of a disease, results of a research and therapy. Two important infectious diseases as viral hepatitis and HP gastritis are chosen, and a rather interesting genetic liver injury as haemochromatosis is added in protocol examples where the discovered morphological characteristics are quantitatively evaluated, as well. The collected data included inthis diagnostic concept offered the most autstanding information about the particular diseases and pointed at the selection of therapy. These protocols were used to compare the characteristics of the mentioned diseases in our population and to validate the pathohistological diagnosis obtained from various departments of pathology in Slovenia.
