Abstract		This paper reviews various pathophysiological disturbances which are present in spastic patients. The results of the electrophysiological tests do not enable to assess correctly the Upper Motoneurone Syntrome and spasticity. The real interest of these tests is 1) to define a pathophysiological profile characterising a given patient and 2) to select the most appropriate ways of treatment.
