Abstract     Recent trends in organization development based on innovative management, professionalism and modern theories on management of human resources are described in the contribution. Some systemic problems hindering the development of professionalism and criteria promoting the innovative processes and professionalism of nurses and the health care efficienc are presented. In the research part, the results of the research concerning the power of nurses based on the views of 35 respondents - nurses in General Hospital (A) from a questionnaire in form of LIkert scale of statements (a method of measuring attitudes) are presented. The results of the research show the values of statements toward decision-making, autonomy, independence, collaboration and relations which significantly influence the increase of efficiency and effectiveness of health care. Authoress introduces some cadre strategies for the promotion of innovative management and professionalism of nurses in practice and in educational system.
Summary     V prispevku so opisani sodobni trendi v razvoju organizacije, ki temeljijo na inovativnem managementu, preofesionalizmu in sodobnih teorijah o ravnanju s človeškimi viri. Prikazani so nekateri sistemski problemi, ki zavirajo razvoj profesionalizma, in merila, ki pospešujejo inovativnost in profesionalnost medicinskih sester ter učinkovitost zdravstvene nege. V raziskovalnem delu so prikazani rezultati raziskave o moči medicinskih sestre na osnovi stališč 35 anketiranih medicinskih sester v Splošni bolnici (A) po vprašalniku, ki je zasnovan v obliki Likertove lestice stališč. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali vrednosti tridtev do odločanja, avtonomije, samostojnosti, sodelovanja in do odnosov, ki imajo pomemben vpliv na povečanje uspešnosti in učinkovitosti zdravstvene nege. Avtorica predstavi nekatere kadrovske strategije za pospeševanje inovativnega managementa in profesionalnosti medicinskih sestre v praksi in v izobraževalnem sistemu.
