Abstract     In this paper the research about data analysis methodologies for knowledge elicitation, as well as for its further formalisation and representation is discussed. The whole approach can be seen as a systematic one, integrating knowledge extracted by data-analysis, mostly statistical and artificial intelligence, technique with knowledge directly acquired from a domain expert, then formalised and represented in Medical Logic Modules (MLM's). The approavh gives an opportunity to enrich the knowledge for its further efficient use in medical desiction support. By representing knowledge in MLM's becomes shareable that is important for integriated desiction support systems. Examles of applications of the new approach in medical domain are provided.
