Abstract     The aim of this study was to present our results of treatment of children with rhabdomyosrcoma of the bladder/prostate. Patients and methods: During the years 1960-1995 six children (5 boys and 1 girl), average 4,7 years with rhabdomyosarcoma of the bladder/prostate, were treated in Slovenia. Two patients were treated only by chemotherapy and radiotherapy, whereas four children were operated, too. Follow-up of our patients was 6,4 years (from 1,6 to 19 years). Results: In all six children the biopsy of tumor confirmed the embryonal type of rhabdomyosarcoma. In three children the tumor was in the I. to II. clinical stage, in two patients in the III. stage and in one patient in the IV. stage. Four (70%) of our patients are still alive whereas two patients died one year after the operation. Conclusion: Rhabdomyosarcoma of the bladder/prostate is very rare malignant tumor in children. Its treatment by surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy gives quite satisfactory results in preservation of the bladder and urethral function and in survival rates.
