Abstract     We have analysed the surface of 222 chichen carcasses samples and 32 samples of poultry liver. We have tested the presence of the Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli. Campylobacter spp. was isolated from 42,3% of examined samples of chichen carcasses. Campylobacter jejuni was isolated from 31,5% of examined damples and C. coli from 10,8% of examined samples. We isolated C. jejuni in 34% and C. coli in 12,5% samples of poultry liver. Therefore, 46,5% of poultry liver samples was contaminated with campylobacter. Using the isolated strains we have investigated the influence of different temperatures and some chemicals to the survival of campylobacters in the laboratory conditions.
