Abstract     Ultrasound and Doppler is one of the most valuable diagnostic tools in evaluating morphology and blood flow conditions of renal transplant, having the most important role in evaluating failing renal graft. Examination enagles quick, noninvasive and reliable exclusion of all extraparenchymal causes of graft failure (urinary tract obstruction, occlusion of major vessels, renal artery transplant stenosis) and proceding to ultrasound guided renal biopsy, often without need for other diagnostic procedures. Comparing Doppler findings to renal scintigraphy and angiography revealed excellent accuracy. Doppler examination can be performed at a bedside and, if needed, as intra- or perioperative examination for the patients at risk of vascular problems. Ultrasound-Doppler is for longterm follow up and is lso the method of choice in the assessment of vascular complications after renal transplantation in children.
