Abstract     Atopic dermatitis is a fairly common skin disease during childhood. The itchy eczematous lesions run a chronic course, often interrupted by remissions. The immunopathogenesis and the role of other factors, which influence the worsening of the disease, are described. Allergic contact dermatitis is a chronic recurrent dermatosis, which appears after contact of the skin of a sensitized person with the contact allergen. The aetiopathogenesis of contact allergic dermatitis, clinical manifestations, as well as the most common contact allergens, which are responsible for its elicitation, are described. Topical treatment of both diseases depends on the patients age, distribution of the lesions and the stage of inflammation. Bland emolients, soft pastes, tar preparations and topical corticosteroids are discussed.
Summary     Atopijski dermatitis je pogosta dermatoza v otroški dobi. Članek podaja smernice za zdravljenje s hladilnimi mazili, mehkimi pastami, pripravki s katranom in lokalnimi kortikosteroidi.
