Abstract		The paper presents the role of research in particular areas of physical therapy for a more efficient and better rehabilitation of patients. It defines the present meaning and effects of new research approaches, and implies the reasons for which the procedures and methods of treatment are more successful. Only research can lead to more objective assessment of treatments.
