Abstract		A total of 1871 composite resin fillings of different size were inserted in 423 patients. The clinical status of each filling was checked after two years. A gap between the filling and the tooth was visible in 2.3% of cases, 4.5% of the fillings were lost, discoloration of the filling was noted in 4%, while 10.1% of the fillings had discoloured edges. According to these results composite resin is a successful filling material, suitable for restorations of different sizes placed in different teeth.
