Abstract		According to researches there has been a gradual rise in the number of wommwn in menopause suffering from osteoporosis. Prevention and treatment of this disease performent by physiotherapists started inthe Health Centre in Nova Gorica in 1996. 1. Prevention - menopause school - group gymnastics for women in menopause and post-menopause 2. Cure: - therapeutic gymnastics exercise - a programme designed individually for women with osteoporosis Groupgymnastic and therapeutic exercises are performed mainly by physiotherapists, on the other hand, a doctor specialized ingynaeocology, a nurse and a physiotherapists work together in menopause school.
