Abstract     The authors reviewed the documentation of children with congenital immune deficiencies treated at the Department of alergology and clinical immunology at the Pediatric clinic of Clinical center in Ljubljana for the period from 1971 to August 1998. They established that almost all of the severe forms of primary immune deficiencies were treated and the records kept at this clinic. Therefore the number of these patients is an appropriate approximation to the number of children with immune deficiencies in Slovenia. The milder forms, especially transient hipogammaglobulinemias and IgA hipogammaglobulinemias are usually treated at local hospitals and dispensaries. The patients with a very mild clinical picture probably do not even consult the physician.
Ugotavljata, da so bile praktično vse težje oblike primarnih imunskih pomanjkljivosti zdravljene in vodene na tej kliniki. Zato predstavlja število teh bolnikov dober približek k številu otrok s primarnimi imunskimi pomankljivostmi v Sloveniji. Lažje oblike, zlasti prehodne hipogamaglobulinemije in hipogamaglobulinemije IgA, navadno obravnavajo v področnih bolnicah in dispanzerjih. Bolniki, ki imajo blago klinično sliko pa verjetno sploh ne pridejo k zdravniku.
