Abstract		Rhythm disturbances quite often occur in coronary heart disease. Conduction disturbances and ventricular arrhythmias are a direct consequence of the ischaemic process and are therefore characteristic ofrhythm disturbances in this disease. Many ventricular arrhythmias are life-threatening and are one of the principal causes of sudden death in coronary patients.
