Abstract     The article defines the usefulness of endomyocardial biopsy as the diagnostic procedure in patients with dilated cardomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Heart failure is the result of various causes including ischemic, hypertensive, toxic and inflammatory heart disease. Endomyocardial biopsy could provide better diagnosis and elucidate the cause of the disease. Loss of myocytes and fibrosation are important mechanisms inthe development of vardiac failure. In addition to clinical diagnosis endomyocardial biopsy with morphometrical analysis could evaluat the stage of disease and provide better view for prognosis.
