| Abstract | AP test (AccuProbe M. avium complex, AccuProbe M. tuberculosis complex - member is also M. bovis, AccuProbe M. gordonae) firm Gen-Probe (San Diego, California, USA), is very useful for determination of mycobacteria. In contrary to classical determination which last several weeks, test is finish in one day. Test is in case of a lot of mycobactera in treating material (stained Ziehl Neelsen positive) useful for determination of species of mycobacteria in clinical specimens. If the number of mycobacteria in material is low (stained Ziehl Neelsen negative), test isn't enough sensitive and specific. For detection of mycobacteria in clinical specimens "MTD-Mycobacterium tuberculosis direct test" firm Gen-Probe is useful. The sensitivity of test were 90%, specificy were 87%. If we repel positive samples (result is positive, only if the results is 2 X positive), were specificy 100%. | |
