Abstract     The results show that the intensity of postpartal energy deficit was smaller in cows receiving yeast addition. In this group of animals smaller changes of body condition were observed as in cows from control group. Addition of yeast culture stimulated ruminal fermentation and the higher amounts of fermentation products most probably influenced better energy balance and greater milk production.
