Abstract		The author presents the interpretation of normal EEG in newborns in view of a strict assessment of correct vigilance stage and gestational age prior to interpretation. The most typicalEEG patterns according to different gestational ages are discussed, and the influence of growth and development on maturational aspects of brain activity is presented. At the end a new technique cerebral function monitoring is briefly described.
Summary		Avtor predstavlja tolmačenje normalnega elektroencefalograma neovorojenčka in vuodma poudari potrebo po natančni opredelitvi stanja čuječnosti in ocene gestacijske starosti. V nadaljevanju opisuje različne vzorce elektroencefalograma glede na različne gestacijske starosti in pokaže, kako rast in razvoj novorjenčka vplivata na maturacijske vidike možganske aktivnosti. Na koncu na kratko prikaže še novo različico neonatalnega elektroencefalograma - monitor možganske aktivnosti.
