Abstract		A short review of the neurological disorders which may present with behavioural and cognitive dysfunction and of psychiatric disorders with neurological symptomatology most frequently encountered in clinical practice is presented in order to help the paediatrician better understand the underlying complex bio-psycho-social nature of these disorders, and select pertinent diagiostic procedures and management. Since the separation of paediatric and adolescent neurology and psychiatry the role of paediatrician in this field has become increasingly important.
Summary		V članku je podan pregled najpogostnejših nevroloških bolezni, ki nastopajo z motnjami vedenja in kognitivnih funkcij, in psihiatričnih bolezni z nevrološko simptomatiko, ki naj služi otrokovemu zdravniku pri izbiri potrebnih diferencialno-diagnostičnih usmeritev in zdravljenja. Pediater ima zaradi popolne ločitve nevrologije od psihiatrije razvojncga obdobja danes ključno vlogo pri podpiranju celostnega biološkega, psihološkega in socialnega razvoja.
