Abstract     Posterior nuclear dislocation is a serious complication of the catract surgery. It is more often during phacoemulsification learning period. Methods We describe what to do if this complication occurs. We suggest to clean the catract wound of cortical remnants and vitreous body. We also suggest watertight closure of the wound. The removal of nucleus by means of vitrectomy and endophacoemulsification can be postponed. We describe the surgical technique. We stress, that this surgery is not an urgent procedure. We also describe the indications for this kind of surgery. Results The results of citated studies are favourable. They achieve visual acuity 20/40 or beter in 61 %-71 %. In Slovenija the number of this cases is too small to have relevant data.
