Abstract		The incidence of postoperative hernias after laparascopic operations is very rare. The occurrence of postoperative hernias after laparascopic procedures to some extent compromises the minimal invasiveness of laparascopic technique. The surgeon must be aware of the possibility of postoperative herniation located at the portsites and all efforts should be undertaken to prevent postoperative hernias. With proper skill and knowledge the surgeon can prevent this complication.
