Abstract		In different centers, the results of the use of cochlear implant in deaf subjects are not the same. The reasons for the difference are probably a different approach and different assessment tests. The determinations of voice quality by means of analysis of fundamental frequency and formant frequencies for some vowels are only two of the possible tests. In the Department of ORL in Ljubljana, these two tests have been used since the beginning of the Cochlear implantation program. For a successful rehabilitation, suitable therapy and test material in Slovene language must be created by a whole team of different experts.
