Abstract		On the faculties, the big assembly halls must have very good speech acoustics, because it is very important that each student can hear the speaker-professor clearly and easily. It is very hard to achieve a good intelligibility without the use of an additional loudspeaker system. The reason for that are the long distance between the speaker and the listeners in the last rows, the noise caused by the students murmur, the ventilation noise, the external noise and so on. If we want to have a very good intelligibility, the sound pressure level of the speaker should be 30 dB above the noise. That also means that the professor would lose his voice very soon, if we don,t use a well installed loudspeaker system.
