Abstract     Sensitivity estimation is a part of the routine neurologic examination which gives only rough approximative data. The functioning of different parts of neural system can be evaluated by classical neurophysiologic (electrophysiologic) examinations, which give on information on the perception. Only psychophysical examinations enable some estimation of the conscious perception of a specific feeling. By thermometry the perception of specific feelings of warmth, coldness and pain due to freeze and heat are estimated. By vibrametry we estimate the perception of vibrations with a constant frequency. These methods provide the examination of the structures involved in the process of perception, however, the methods alone do not localize the injury. On the grounds of their results the decisions are easier to make. These metods enable the recording of the changes and provide evidence of subclinical changes.
