| Abstract | Clinical studies demonstrate that dementia, delirium, paranoid states, depression and suicidal behaviour are the commonest mental illnesses or disorders in the elderly. These disorders are difficult to manage and thus represent chrises or even emergencies requiring immediate action. Author briefly discusses these conditions and their complications and points out necessary medical and social interventions. | |
