Abstract     Life associations in water ecosystems are characterised by numerous physical and chemical parameters. Mountain lakes are an example of a highly sensitive ecosystem because they are relatively small and their naural balance can be shaken even by monite changes in the environment. The Triglav National Park lakes are on three different trophic levels, ranging from the lake Jezero pod Vršacem, the Šresent condition of which is between the ultraoligotrophic and oligotrophic, to the lakes Krnsko jezero and Jezero na Planini pri jezeru, which are both eutrophic.
