Abstract		Basides the pollen trap in Ljubljana, we set up a new one in Koper on the Mediterranean coast. In January and February the pollen of the Alder, Hazel, Cypress and Yew was detected on both locations in the air. The average daily concentration is presented in the graphs. In Koper the poplar pollen also appeared in the air in the second decade of February. Its counts were low, not exceeding 10 pollen grains/m/3. The table x.1. shows the dates of the start of pollen season - when the pollen counts reached 1% of the total pollen in the years 1996, 1997, 1998 for Alder and Hazel.
