Abstract		The article presents the results of a small scale research on the theme of the familiarity with the possibilities of HIV infection among pupils from rural and urban area. Fifty-five pupils were investigated. The knowledge of eighthgrade pupils about aids, possibilities of HIV infection and their personal attitudes towards aids were investigated. The results reveal that the eighth-grade pupils are on average well acquainted with possibilities of HIV infection. The results also reveal that pupils from the rural area are less familiar with aids and possibilities of HIV infection, and their answers were wrong more often than the answers of pupils from urban area. Inspite of the familiarity with the problems associated with aids, the young often take risks of infection with HIV; therefore, modification of their attitudes in the future is necessary.
Summary		Članek predstavlja rezultate krajše raziskave na temo seznanjenost o možnostih okužbe z virusom HIV med učenci na podeželju in v mestu. Anketiranih je bilo 55 učencev. Osmošolce smo spraševali o tem, kako poznajo bolezen aids, katere smo možnosti okužbe z virusom HIV ter o osebnih stališčih do aidsa. Rezultati kažejo, da so osmošolci v povprečju dobro seznanjeni o možnostih okužbe z virusom HIV. Pokazalo pa se je tudi, da so učenci s podeželja nekoliko manj seznanjeni z aidsom in možnostmi okužbe z virusom HIV, saj so bili njihovi odgovori pogosteje napačni kot odgovori osmošolcev iz mesta. Kljub poznavanju problematike aidsa pa se mladi izpostavljajo nevarnosti okužbe z virusom HIV, zato je potrebno v prihodnosti vplivati na njihove vedenjske vzorce.
