Abstract     Our ancestors had more healthy habits, which we today lack. Day after day they used to work on their farms and they also used to walk a lot. Without lighting at night, they used to retire early, living by the rule "day is for work, night is for rest". Since the invention of cars for transportation, engines for work and electrical energy, people are more and more physicially inactive. In their time of leisure they usually remain sitting, while still eating the same food as their ancestors who worked from morning till night. Greatest harm has been done, by all means, by the habit of smoking. Physicians decided for a preventive campaign, seriously warning us against risk factors and thus guiding us towards a healthy life style. Some instructions for effective recreation are given.
Summary     Naši predniki so imeli več zdravju koristnih navad, ki jih danes pogrešamo. Dan za dnem so delali na kmetijah, veliko so tudi hodili. Ker še niso imeli nočne razsvetljave, so hodili zgodaj spat. Upoštevali so pravilo "dan je za delo, noč je za počitek". Odkar imajo avtomobile za prevažanje, stroje za delo in električno energijo, so gibalno vse bolj nedejavni. navadili so se na sedenje v prostem času, hranijo pa se še vedno tako kakor predniki, ki so delali od jutra do večera. Največja škoda a je v tem, da so se navadili kaditi. Zdravniki so se odločili za preventivno medicino in nas vse bolj prepričljivo svarijo pred dejavniki tveganja in nam tako pomagajo do zdravega načina življenja. Podajamo nekaj navodil za učinkovito rekreacijo.
