Abstract | The pollen of hazel, alder, poplar in Koper, cypress family and yew family appeared already in February in the air and it was still there in March. The pollen of the horn beam, poplar, willow ash, elm and maple in Ljubljana started to appear in March. In Koper and Ljubljana hazel and alder pollen remained in the air two decades in March. The concentrations in Koper didn't exceed 50 pollen grains/m3 In Ljubljana the concentrations were higher, up to 250 pollen grains/m3 for Hazel and 200 pollen grains/m3 for alder. The pollen of cypress and yew family was all month in the air on both locations. The concentration in Ljubljana didn't exceed 160 pollen grains/m3. It was mostly the pollen of the yew tree. The highest counts (1226 grains/m3) of the cupressaceae pollen in Koper were on 26 March. The pollen of poplar, elm and willow was all month in the air. The counts were low. The pollen of horn beam and ash appeared in the air only in periods of warm weather. | |
