Abstract		In 1987 the G.D.R. Committe for UNESCO entered "Arts in Hospital" as the first international project on the list of UNESCO activities for the World Decade for Cultural Development. Since then the concept has grown and attracted fresh support. It was concluded in 1997 in Slovenia. Art and culture appear in three deferent contexts: 1. As architecture, interior decoration and surounding of hospitals, homes for the elder, rehabilitation centers, spas and other health institutions. 2. As staff members, artistic creations and interpretations of different art mediums. 3. As any form of art therapy for clients (patients)
