Abstract		Common dermatological signs of tropical infectious diseases are described. They are reviewed on the basis of the skin lesion type and the geographic circumstances. The practical diagnostic procedure, etiology, therapy and prevention of tropical skin diseases are discussed. With the development of tourism and the increasing number of travellers to tropical and subtropical countries we will be confronted with various "unusual" dermatological signs, caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. We have to consider a tropical disease as a potential etiology in all returning travellers with skin lesions.
Summary		Opisani so pogosti kožni znaki pri tropskih infekcijskih boleznih. Kožne spremembe so razvrščene po njihovem izgledu z upoštevanjem zemljepisnih okoliščin. Predstavljeni so praktični diagnostični postopki, etiologija, zdravljenje in preprečevanje tropskih kožnih okužb. Z razvojem turizma in vse pogostejšimi potovanji v dežele s toplim podnebjem se bomo tudi v našem prostoru občasno srečevali z različnimi "neobičajnimi" kožnimi znaki, ki jih povzročajo baktedje, virusi, glive in paraziti. Zato moramo pri teh popotnikih s kožnimi spremembami v diferencialni diagnozi upoštevati tudi tropske bolezni.
